Okay--so he's waiting you out--then you get the jump on him! Break it off and be done with it--stop wasting your time and playing his games--you have better things to do than that!

I'm not sure that it is an official break up but I am sure that you can do much better. Nobody should be able to just tell you to hold on and wait for them like that. I mean to leave you unsure of what's going on is basically him saying "I'm not sure what I want right now but I want you to stick around so that if I am screwing things up I can go back to you." He's just yanking your chain. If he really is unsure about all of the things you are together with I think you should force him to confront the problem. After all what is a relationship without communication? Talk to him and figure out what's going on, if I were you I would rather a break up than a messed up relationship. At least if you break up it gives you a chance to find someone new that will treat you right. Good luck and you deserve better.

well couples get mad and argue all the time, some of us have different ways of dealing with it. you have those who choose to ignore you for some period of time, than you have those who would rather just talk things over right than and there so that the problem wont escalate into something that could've been prevented. but the way your boyfriend is dealing with this situation is very childish on is part by not responding back to your messages or answering your calls...he needs to GROW UP!!! him saying that he needs time means that he's thinking about rather staying with you are not WAKE UP!!! read between the lines....if i were you i would get him befor he got me...and what i mean by that is cutting off all contact don't call/text or email him anymore b/c the more you contact him, the more he's going to pull away from you...he doesn't even think your worth talking to right now so why keep calling? you got to have more respect for yourself than that...show him that you can make it without him..b/c if you keep trying to explain yourself to him...all he's going to say is why don't she just leave me alone and get a life!!! why give him that much...stop sitting around waiting for an answer b/c he may be planning on breaking up with you, you never know...he is probably just looking for the right time to do it...stop contacting him...and maybe he'll WAKE UP! if not than it wasnt meant to be....MOVE FORWARD WITH YOUR LIFE!

It sounds like he's looking for perfection. He thinks an arguement means you're not "the one". It may take him a while to learn that no one is perfect.
Find someone who does not have his head in the clouds.

Leave him be for awhile so he can think. Quit bugging him. Let him make the next move no matter how hard it is to resist.

Don't let someone play games like that with you! I say - dump him! He'll give you nothing but heartache.

You should assume it's a break up.
Don't let him ruin your life, move on.
If he changes his mind, you can take it from there, but it's safer to assume he's no longer interested.
You'll survive.

well, if you really want this to work you should give him space to think. i know it's hard, but it sounds like that's what he wants.
