Check on the Internet for a local Rottweiler Rescue. If you can't seem to find one, check on the AKC website. They usually have a listing for breed specific rescues.
I worked with Rottie Rescue in PA. It is a wonderful group that helps place dogs into "forever" homes. Please, for the sake of the dog, when you talk to them fill them in on EVERY detail of the dog's personality. This will make it easier for them to find an appropriate home.

Ahhhh. I hate hearing any dog has to find a new home and owner.I hope you do find her a good home. Try a Rottweiler rescue in your area. Sorry I can't help you.I wish I knew someone that could give her a good home. Good luck to your dog. God Bless you for not letting her get put to sleep.

have you looked into a local rottweiler rescue group? the rescue groups are very good for finding great homes for dogs, it is safer than taking your dog to the shelter because the rescues will not put your dog down, they are a group of people who take your dog into their home until they find a good home for it

If you absolutely HAVE to rehome this dog, a breed specific rescue organization would be the best way to go. If you try to find a home for her yourself PLEASE MAKE SURE IT'S WITH THE RIGHT PERSON. Alot of people out there want Rotties for all the wrong reasons.

If it is a purebred rottweiler, there should be no problem finding a home for it. Is she spayed? If not you may be able to find a breeder who would want her, and if she's in really good condition and has a great attitude, which you also didn't say anything about, you might be able to find someone to show her.

Contact a rottweiler club in your area or the national club, they have rescue groups - they'll help your dog.
