I honestly couldnt answer that unless I was in the situation. We all think we know what we'd do but we dont. I've heard a story about a woman during the tsunami a couple years ago: she was underwater and holding onto a pole and both of her children. She knew she couldnt hang on for to long so she let one child go so she could save herself and one child. Im sure if you had asked her the day before that happened what she wouldve done in that situation she wouldve said I wouldve tried my best to keep all of us alive and I wouldnt have decided which one dies and which one lives. She probably wouldve said she'd die trying to save both kids... but she didnt do that. Right now, I would say save both. Do whatever you had to do save them both.

only if they only didn't have a chance of survival being together. Otherwise I would leave them that way. Two hearts, two souls. It wouldn't be my place to mess with that. As far as a choice? If they both had the same chance of survival, then I would have to choose the one who would have most chance of living a (relatively) normal life. If that was the same chance, I'd have to pray really really hard about it. I may even have the doctor make the decision for me. Personally (and morally) I wouldn't be able to choose. That would be like choosing between two healthy children. I would rather they take my life.

If it was likely that one would die if operated on but would remain healthy if left together, then I wouldn't seperate them. I would allow them to make the decision when they were older. I just couldn't choose between my children if they were otherwise healthy. I wouldn't view being "joined" as being unhealthy if there were no medical problems.
Contrary to what people may think, many conjoined twins have gone on to have perfectly happy lives without ever being seperated.
I'm not saying the decision would be easy or that I wouldn't be devestated. I'm just saying that I don't think I could choose.

well if they both have an equal chance why cant they both survive, unless they are sharing a vital organ that when they cut it they can only cut it for one of them to live? and i dont think any woman or man could really chose one to live.

there is no way you can humanely choose one child over the other. you just have to pray for BOTH to survive.
