What's the best Video Converter [from avi, mpg, etc to ipod format] for Mac?

I'm looking to download/buy a video converter, not for DVDs, but so I can download pretty much any format of video - .avi being the most important - and convert it into iPod Video format. I'd be happy for any suggestions.

I'm looking for something easy to work with that makes the videos very nice looking - not low-quality, in other words.

I'm thinking of downloading the Xilisoft Converter [http://www.xilisoft.com/ipod-video-converter-mac.html], which looks pretty good - but seems to cut the very last half second off the video and quits the program. Not a big deal, but is there any other program you guys would recommend?

This application is by far the easiest. The quality is great. It's also very fast. Have fun!
