Take a bag that used to hold those small chocolate coins (gelt), and put a (baby) flatworm inside it. Tie it around your neck, travel to Washington DC, and walk naked around the Jefferson memorial 3 times clockwise.

Since there are over 200 types of cold viruses, there is no cure for the common cold. There are tons of things on the market however to help relieve its symptoms as well as lessen its duration. Home made chicken soup is a good home remedy as it is full of vitamins and nutrients and the steam helps open up your nasal passages. By they way, you never get the same cold twice!

A good home made warm soup, that's the best remedy, specially if your mom made it, and after that, go to sleep, do this for two to three days before going to bed and you'll be as good as new!

I am recently getting over a cold, and my mom made me a remedy that worked. It's just some hot tea, with one tablespoon of honey, and a teaspoon of lemon juice. It worked for me. Good Luck!

My grandfather would drink 1 cap full of kerosene when he would get sick or colds - that seemed to help him more than what medicines did. He did this his whole life, and he is now 86 years old and fairly healthy.

make yourself some strong ginger tea. buy a ginger root and cut and peel a piece about the size of your thumb. slice and put in a small saucepan with about 2 cups of water. simmer on low heat for about 10 min. if you need to, add more water. the longer you simmer, the stronger it will be. tastes brutal but it works!

Hot green tea w/lots of lemon. Maybe grind fresh ginger and steep it in it. Chicken soup w/fresh veggies and fresh basil helps too.
