the sauce is just minced fresh garlic and butter
spread it on whatever kind of bread you want
like vienna loaves, french, panini
garlic powder and garlic spread gives me unbearable heartburn, but real garlic doesn't bother my stomach

INGREDIENTS:
* 1 (1 pound) loaf unsliced French bread
* 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
* 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
* 2 large cloves fresh garlic, crushed and minced finely
* paprika
PREPARATION:
Cut French bread loaf into 1-inch thick slices, but not quite all the way through. Combine butter, parsley, and garlic, stirring well; spread between bread slices. Sprinkle each slice with a little paprika, if desired. Reassemble the loaf; wrap in aluminum foil. Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes.

This is the way I make my garlic bread.I buy one of those freshly baked loaves of bread from Walmart,or any grocer with a bakery section,or even a bakery I guess. You take a stick of butter and a few cloves of fresh garlic.Mince the garlic and add it to the butter. The butter should be softened first. It`s easier if you have a food processor, but if not it can be done by hand. Then spread the garlic mixture on the bread and bake at 350 toll golden. You can also melt some mozzarella cheese over it if you want.I guess you can add chopped parsley and other spices if you`d like.Hope I was helpful!

Garlic bread can be easily made by spreading butter on a split loaf of French bread, then sprinkle generously with garlic powder and some dried basil. Wrap in foil and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.

You can buy bread made garlic spread in the fresh pasta section of the grocery store. I make my own. Take some butter or margarine, mix in either fresh or granulated garlic. Add parsley and pamesan if you like. Spread on french bread that is split in the middle. Cook in the over 8-10 minutes on 350.

I read the answers from others, but I will introduce another quick easy method for just two people.
Take small amount of butter or margarine and add granulated garlic to it, a couple of drops of lemon juice and mix in a small bowl. Taste test the mix to see if it is to your liking. Then spread this garlic butter onto cut slices of french bread.
Using a grill or frying pan place butterd side of bread down and fry in pan to get individual toasted pieces of garlic french bread.
Make as many as you want.

In a coffee mug put 2 tablespoons butter, 1 large heaping tablespoon minced garlic ( sold at the supermarket in Qt. jars ) then cover with Olive oil ( about 4 tablespoons ). Cover and nuke for 45 seconds to a minute. Split a loaf of french or Italian bread in half lengthwise. Now apply the topping with a spoon. As you put it on with the spoon use the back of the spoon to spread it out. You're not trying to saturate, just evenly coat. Now lightly sprinkle with garlic salt. Finish an even sprinkle of paprika and put it under the broiler on high. Don't take your eyes off it as it only takes a minute to get brown and crispy! Manga!!!

Melt some butter in a pan, add finely chopped fresh garlic and parsley flakes. Stir it around for a little while. Get a loaf of baguette, slice the baguette but not all the way through. Apply the mixture in between the slices of bread. Wrap the baguette in aluminium foil and toast it for awhile in the oven.

Garlic bread is extremely simple...you don't need a sauce.
Get french bread or sourdough bread (something that will make thick slices).
Slice 1 inch each, crosswise
Spread butter on one side of each slice
Use your garlic press to mince your garlic.
Before you press completely, spread over the buttered slice.
Sprinkle with white pepper and parmesean cheese (optional).
Bake until brown.
