yes but it might take longer to fully heal. they perfer cool, dark and slightly damp conditions, a chiminey would be a perfect place for a bat to live. i dont think so, but then again can bats even get rabies? good luck. and no you SHOULDN'T die from the rabid bat's bite.

Bites from rabid animals heal normally, but that's not very important because rabies doesn't infect the wound, it affects the bloodstream. Bats eat insects, so they live in areas where its warm enough for insects to fly, which is usually greater than 40 F. In winter, some bats hibernate, others migrate to warmer areas. A bat infected with rabies may act perfectly normal for a few months before the rabies starts affecting its behavior. Sleeping habits might change from rabies.
