I have verified my connections for installation of the radio and they are correct. I attempted to find a fuse panel, and do not find one in the passenger compartment of the car. There is no owner's manual. Could I have shorted something out?

Open the driver's door, look where the door would cover the dash. The fuse box cover is there. If you put in a radio, and now something doesn't work, you must have pulled a wire off somewhere. Take a good look for a wire that now is disconnected.

The fuse box is on the drivers side to the left of the brake pedal and under the hood in the center.

The diagram can be found in a downloadable owners manual from www.fleet.ford.com

But recheck your wiring again.. possible back feed problem.. Unplug the radio and see if the gauges start working again.. If they do, your wiring is the culprit possibly... rehook up and see if the display stops working again.. if it does, recheck the wiring, if it doesn't (and after checking every fuse) it's time to check with a mechanic shop

i found a site called click-here.com it's pretty cool, you can download free diagrams of your car wire detail to see where you went wrong. good luck./ as for your gauges i can't find anything on saerch, but i can only guess that if you only now don't have any gauges that you musthave ungrounded a path in your hook up. any in line fuses would be under the dah which you should see w/ a light.

You can find an install kit for any make of car. If yours is unusual you probably won't find it at WalMart. But try an electronics store (such as Best Buy) or go on ebay--you can find anything on ebay.
