The current Big Bang came after the Big Crunch... where have YOU been? The Bang and Crunches repeat in a cycle that continue back in time forever.... and continue in a cycle forever into the future.

Who says the universe always existed? Who was around billions of years ago to say whether it existed or not? For that matter when some scientist does carbon dating on a dinosaur bone and says it's 50 million years old who was around to prove it? Everything I've ever heard watching science shows on space says that scientists don't know how old the universe is, not that it always existed. People put so much "faith" in science just like people put "faith" in religion. When in truth they are both a system of beliefs no one can proove. Darwins ideas aren't called the "THEORY" of evolution for nothing. While I believe animals do evolve in a sense through natural selection I don't believe a fish grew legs because it decided it would be easier to hunt on land. There are things in science that are as hard to believe as Moses parting the red sea. It's all what we choose to believe. The stupid thing is when creationists mock science and scientists put no stock in religion. Neither can be prooved beyond all certanty so both sides need to remove the stick up their *** and let the other side believe what they choose to believe.

The Steady State Theory was disproved decades ago. Where have you been? Ever hear of the Big Bang? That's the latest theory being worked on by mainstream astrophysicists.
I guess they really DON'T teach anything in schools these days!

IF god existed "before" time, how can there be a "before?" that is a contradiction. if time existed, so did some universe, making it as old as the creator himself. so if you believe that god is eternal (another time related word) then you must also agree that a form of some universe also existed forever. i am not saying that it has to be our universe that we call home, but part of the "universe existed forever" argument is the idea that it expands and collapses over and over again. this means that in order for god to be eternal so must also the universe and time, which rules out the necessity of god.

It would leave God in a divine relationship with space and time. Just as it would if the universe had not always existed (which is what it looks like).

1:1: In the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth.
Not some big band theory, or that we evolved from one cell.
Only God can create something out of nothing!!

im sorry but i disagree.
this universe has not always existed. it can be turned off at any moment. and it was turned on at some point in time, because the things that are created have a beginning.

How do you know the universe always existed? GOD has always existed! God created the universe and everything in it--regardless of how one believes he created it.
