Yes. I have a broken CD Drive and i'm running Windows ME. I'll go get it fixed whenever I feel like it, but for now... How do I install Linux.. such as FREESPIRE or w/e without using a CD? Like, just on my HDD or something.. And partition it.. Using WINDDOWS ME.

I have 30GB. =O

There are operating systems you can put on to a USB drive, and boot from the USB drive, but your BIOS has to support that(most modern ones do). You could always borrow an external CD/DVD drive as well..., but again your BIOS would have to recognize it immediately. CD drives are very cheap now a days, its easiest to just get a new one.

You could do a network install, but that will probably be a lot more complicated than you'd probably prefer.

Can you not just spend $20-30 on a DVD Drive?
Hell, you can find a DVD writer for $17 on ebay right now.

You need to have at least one type of bootable media to initialize the setup process, the actual data source can be anything like network, HTTP over network, local hard drive etc.
