so we test spirits ... the spirits speak of God , Jesus , compassion , love and all that good stuff
so we have decided the spirits are not of Satan
but since according to the same people who say test the spirit
the dead are dead and there are no spirits ...

Spirits can deceive. Even satan can disguise himself as an angel of light.
Humans have been given an unimaginable amount of authority, & Genesis teaches that G-d gave mankind dominion (authority).
Because spirits can deceive, and when we are dealing with them, we are usually in the spirit realm (their turf), you need every tool available at your disposal. you need to command the spirit to speak truth. Command it to reveal it's TRUE identity.
You cannot accept everything they say at face value.
An excellent book on this subject & interesting reading is "The Beautiful Side of Evil". It's about a woman who was an assistant to a psychic healer, & her involvement with the spirit realm on a level many of us can only dream about.

(1Corinthians 14:32) And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. [Either TRUTH -OR- LIES!]
(1John 4:1) Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
(Ephesians 5:10) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
(Luke 16:29-to-31) Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
(Luk 16:30) And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
(Luk 16:31) And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
VERY SIMPLY, unless what is Said, AGREES WITH THE WORD OF GOD, = 100% = it then is a LIE!
I used this simple example in a class I taught. I poured a glass of milk and passed it around for everyone to have a sip.
I then squirted some "Windex" in the Milk, if front of Everyone! I asked, "Who wants a drink?" Everyone Declined! I asked Why? They said, "Because you put Windex in the Milk = and it will make us SICK!"
It looked like MILK, and it smelled like MILK, but it was RUINED BY THE WINDEX! No longer FIT for human consumption!
When a Religious person MIXES their Opinion with what GOD HAS PLAINLY SAID IN HIS WORD, they Ruin the MIX!
That is why JESUS said, Matthew 4:4 and Luke 4:4.
UNLESS what someone says IS 100% TRUTH, then it is Ruined!

Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. But whosoever denies that He is come in the flesh is NOT of God.
THAT'S how you test the spirits!

the bible tell people to test spirit but Christians never investigated Islam nor read the biography of the prophet (sas) .. it makes me sad ..
