1. Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
2. Repentence,
3. Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins
4. Laying on of hands for the gift of the holy ghost
The reason why is because Christ taught this. Christ was baptized as an example so how much more we need of baptizm being sinners. I also believe everyone will have the chance to choose in this life or the next. And those those who are alive can be baptized by proxy in their behalf. I also believe the the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is Christs restored church on the earth.

Hello Jerri B,
I think we need to do as the word of God says. It says we must confess with our month and believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is Lord, that he is the son of God and that God raise him from the grave.
So! there are two things we have to do- confess first, and believe, and you shall be save. Now- That does not mean you are going to start flying or float like a butterfly, so don't get into all that crazyness that you will here about.
It just means that you are now part of the family of God, and shall receive the blessing that God has promise to those who believe. May God Bless you in your search.

There is absolutely nothing that you can do to merit your own salvation. Faith is a gift from God, not something that you can take or claim or even ask for.

I believe one must repent, be baptized, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, keep the commandments, make and keep certain covenants in the holy temple and endure to the end.
That about sums it up...

I don't believe in an afterlife. Salvation to me is living in such a way as to minimize the possibilities of being harmed. I try to live rationally and responsibly, keep my vehicles tuned up and the fluids and filters changed regularly, pay attention to weather reports, lock my car doors, activate the security alarm at night, try to eat well and exercise so I will be healthy when I finally retire, and sock away enough money that my wife and I will be able to live comfortably in our old age.
I believe it is INFINITELY more important for one to keep one's tires properly inflated and wear a seat belt than it is to be baptized, take communion, and attend church regularly.

To honour and respect nature. to honour the god and goddess but without bowing down to them. To think for myself and to treat people fairly. To share my knowledge and skill to help people who need it. To enrich the world with my creative efforts. To stop feeling guilty about sin and start tidying up after my mistakes. To speak the truth. To fight injustice and inequality.

Believe that God gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ for you. Ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart, and be your Lord and Savior. No other way!

Nothing, It is a free gift.. We are imperfect, and without the sacrifice Jesus made on that cross, it wouldn't be available to any.
Just believe.

Believe in God, and know that you would do anything for Him, ANYTHING. Follow his laws and ways by the Bible too.
