Well, this should help :)
Make sure he doesn't like anyone else first
Send him secret little notes telling him that someone he knows likes him. That way if he's your friend he'll tell you how he feels about the notes.
If he tells you he wants to know who it is, tell him that you are the one who sent the notes.
Once you tell him that it was you say that he doesn't have to like you back and that you hope that this will not ruin your friendship.
Refer to step 1. If he tells you about the notes and tells you that he thinks whoever is sending him the notes is a freak decide if you want to tell him.
Tips
Once you tell him that that it was you do not keep on blabbering.
Sit quietly and wait for a response.
Don't worry if he doesn't say anything, he might just be in shock and it'll take him a while to let it sink in.

It's "me" not "mi". Are you Hispanic? Anyhow...smile alot...flirt with him, talk to him, wear his favorite color. Get to know him. Pay attention to him. You will get the hang of it.
