Even though your a male, you should still go to a shop and have someone shampoo your hair and trim your ends, that helps ALOT. Before i started wearing braids my hair barely touched my shoulder, now its almost bra-length.

I just kept my hair braided consistently, and whenever i took them out, i went to a salon to get a deep-conditioner put in, and have my ends trimmed. After about 2 yrs., my hair grew probably 2 in.

Good luck. = )

Do you trim the ends of your hair regularly? I've always been told that that's the best way to keep your hair healthy, and healthy hair grows faster and is stronger.

Is your hair healthy? Are yo braiding it tight and causing it to break? Why do you want it to your shoulders.

It looks so much nicer short and is easier to take care of.

Take vitamins, and massage your scalp regularly, so you get blood flow to the roots.
