was recently on tri-sprintic birth control but stopped it in nov. I had 2 periods in nov. and the second one was bc i stopped my pills. I stopped the pills between the 22-25. Well in dec. i did not take any more pills and still had a period and it was like a regular one. Me and my fiance want to start trying to have a baby together next month. We have tried before but had no luck so we want to start trying again. Does anyone know if its possible for me to get pregnant since i had just stopped the pills and if so how long would it take? I dont wanna go to my doctor because i am deaf and id need a family member there to let me know whats being said and if my grandma knows she will be really mad since i live with her. I am 19 and my fiance is 26. I dont have a Gyn or anything so can someone please answer the above questions? Thanks.

to be honest with you, I have no idea. BUT i know plenty of women who got pregnant after using the pill. I only know of one woman who used the pill for 4 years strait who couldn't get pregnant. But I think you are a little young, don't you think?
wow, 19. You still have so much time! A little advice from a mother of 2. Enjoy the time you have with your fiance while it's just the 2 of you cause when you add more to you family it become harder to enjoy your relationship. Kids WILL come in your future, there is no need to rush!
Best of luck!

I was on birth control pills for 15 years. I got pregnant 6 months after stopping and that was without actually trying.. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage, but then got pregnant again 4 months later after only trying for 2 months. I now have a perfectly healthy 6 month old boy.

If you are planning on trying to have a baby, my first suggestion would be to find an obgyn.... they can answer many questions. Your fiance could go with you to these appointments. You can get pregnant right away after stopping the pill or it may take quite a while... there is no set time frame here. Most doctors would not question if anything was wrong unless you have been trying for at least 1 year.....
