Easy as pie, steamed tamales. Fill a large sauce pan with 2 cups of water. Place a colander on top of the sauce pan (the colander should not be touching the water). Place the frozen tamales in the colander and cover the colander with a lid of the appropriate size. Steam for 5 to 10 min until tamales are hot. Do not oversteam or they will fall apart.
PS - if you don't have the time, or a colander, you can place the tamales on a microwave safe plate, cover with 3 or 4 wet papertowels and microwave for 2-3 min.

When frozen, I like to "steam" them in the microwave by covering them with a damp papertowel. Then, I place them on my comal (cast iron griddle) on the stove and cook them until the corn husks become toasted and a little charred in some spots. Crispy on the outside and soft and steamy in the middle! They are so good for breakfast with fried eggs!

I heat frozen tamales all the time by putting a damp paper towel over them and placing them in the microwave for about 1-2 min per tamale. the damp cloth makes steam so they come out nice and hot without drying out

Place in a large flat bottom pyrex (glass) dish, heat oven to 350, add 1/2 cup of water by pouring over tamales that are still in corn husks, cover with tin foil, place in oven for 30-40 minutes (do not over steam them, they will be mushy!) to steam them, enjoy! :)
