Free programs are preferrable although if it's something I can pay to input a registration code online thats also fine. I don't want to go to the store to buy anything. Thanks

If you just need to compress the file you can use the free iTunes. (www.apple.com). Drag the file into the app and select "advanced" and then "convert to AAC" which will compress the file to a fraction of the size. However, the compressed file version will only play in iTunes after that.
