The first jihad was justified, Christians are always pushing their ideals and way on life on the "heathens" and "barbarians"

This jihad has no cause, America is not looking to eradicate Islam, and the main reason we are in Iraq is to institute a democracy and gain allies in a war which the jihadists started, although oil and Saddam's attempted assasination of Bush Sr. no doubt played a role in it.

Since you have the mentality of modern day man, it would be impossible to answer the question of the past jihad. You would have to understand the thought process of the time and come up with a theory which, is exactly what historians do.

As for jihad in the 21st century: Those who call for it, are imposing their will on the ignorance of their fellow Muslims who, in order to believe they have to do it, are undereducated politically, scientifically and socially. All Muslims who feed off of clerics that denounce all other culture except their own are only aware of what the Koran (Coran) dictates from an era long past such as historical events like the crusades.

If you are raised only to believe in one way, deprived of what the world has to offer in all other areas you are a fanatic! Undrstandably!
