I think they stopped making stand-alone Flash players after Macromedia turned to Adobe so the best way, without having to install any version of Flash, is to download the stand-alone player of version 7, which is the most recent I could find. check below:

As for YouTube movies, I don't think that you'll be able to play them with that player, since they come in FLV format, and I would suggest you download an FLV player; here's a recommendation and it's free:

Download flashplayer from http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash and run the installation program.

Also download firefox http://www.mozila.com and type about:plugins in to the address bar. This will tell you what plugins it has recognised as installed.

Use Firefox http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/ then load the Un Plug add on https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2254/. Get nFLV Player from http://zeraha.org/

Then when you view a FLV file you can unplug it and view it on the FLV player

probably, you need to go to adobe and macro media websites and download latest flash player software that is compatible with your operating system.
