can cats get lice from like the grass or outside or even from a human? please do not put i do not know but a real answer. thanks

They can't get human head lice, but they can get other types of lice (just like any animal can). The better flea & tick treatments also work on lice and mites. Read the box to be sure.

I'm not sure what's going around - but if both you and your animals have it, it's not human head lice. Lice are species specific, meaning you can't pass them to your cats and vice versa. The cat should see a vet and you and your daughter should see a doctor as soon as possible. MKS

More likely they can get it from a mouse nest or another animal's den. Yes they can get it, as I remember the Frontline spray (which you can buy over the Internet) says it is effective for "fleas, ticks and itching lice".

they do get different types of lice. frontline can kill lice on cats
