I've been dating this girl I like for just five weekends. During our last date we had dinner, then she invited me to her place and we watched tv and played checkers. Then I left. The next week we exchanged some mails and phone calls to see what kind of relationship we wanted to have, but she finally told me that she just liked me as a friend. I feel so stupid for not having been able to express my feelings while we were at her place. I keep on blaming myself and thinking that when a girl invites you to her place she wants something more than just watch tv. Have you had any similar experiences? How can I forgive myself for being so stupid?

First of all, not fornicating is always a good idea. Secondly, just because she invited you over to her place doesn't mean she wanted intercourse and even if she did do you really want to be with a girl who just gives it away. Thirdly, if she just wants to be friends, that is more than likely a conclusion she would have come to eventually even if you had slept with her. She is obviously not the one and if all you really care about is sex, I pity you. Sex is for marriage.

I'm trying to figure out how to put this into words.
A realtionship can not be one sided, the woman cannot expect the man to do everything and the man can not expect the woman to do everything.
Just next time say what you want to without coming off as too straight forward.

You have no reason to feel stupid. What makes you think any and all females want more? Not True! For her to say she just wants to be friends, just leave it at that and don't beat yourself up over this. At some point in getting to know another person one will automatically know whether they want to be just friends or more.
