I love cats and I like dogs. But for me the answer is a cat because I live in a high rise for seniors (I'm 58) and I am disabled so a cat makes more sense to me. I'd have a hard time walking the dog as I am in a wheelchair. You've got to pick up the poop when you walk a dog. We can only have small dogs here in this building.My cats name is Mia.She is almost 4 years old.

well cats are cleaner then dogs, they'll **** in a litter box or **** outside, and they groom themselves consistently. Petting a cat is known to reduce stress and high blood pressure.
As for dogs, I like small ones... less maintenance, they won't drulle all over the place. I feel like washing my hands after touching a dog, I never get that feeling with cats though cuz cats are cleaner but hey... dogs will love you more and they are more loyal and dependent on you to take care of them...
as for cats... well they can live without humans.

I love my cats. But I also love my dogs.
It is so hard to chose because they are both important, but I would probably chose the CAT. They are easier to take care of and pretty low maintence... the dogs can be such a handful sometimes and are more expensive, need more medical care. Then again they tend to be more loyal and reliant on their human counterpart. My cats are pretty loyal too though.
I do not think I could live without either :-).

I like dogs. Cats are the snobs of the animal kingdom. Maybe cats are cleaner and maybe smarter but its always dogs that you see on tv saving people and leading blind people out of harms way. All cats are good for is company.

i have two cats and they give love and attention all the time. but if i had a dog i would care for it as much as my cats. pets are great companions.

Both are great pets...
Dogs are great companions, they are loyal to people, unlike cats, who are "loyal" to where they live. If you're a more active person, you might like a dog, becuase they would take a lot of walks, etc.
Cats though, (if they are not afraid of humans) are also great pets. They sit on your lap to keep you warm...and also great entertainment =)

There's no pet that's better one from another. It's all strictly a matter of opinion.
I like cats better, but I love Siberian Huskies, too. I wanna own one when I move out.

My daughter and I love cats. We are 2 votes for cats.
(We do like dogs, but cats are our fav.)
