I just joined a new gym. Do you think gyms are a good place to meet prospective dates? I would like to hear about your experiences in this arena.

Oh my gosh I can tell you all about my friend that dates only guys from the gym.
She chooses these guys from the gym that are pretty good looking and she thinks that they look amazing, but I don't think much of them except that they might have some muscles. Anyway, she always gets dumped on. When they go out, every girl around is checking the guy out and he knows it. He's flaunting his stuff and wearing tight shirts to show off his muscles and then freaking looks in every mirror that ever existed. The ones that she chooses always seem to lie to her and cheat on her. I always tell her that if she is just picking men based on the looks and muscles then she is going to get crap for guys. She doesn't seem to listen or learn but I'm always right.
These guys seem to only care about themselves
They look good and they know it
They usually don't treat their women well but that goes with any guy that puts himself first.
I say don't do it and it's a bad place to look for guys.
Oh, I almost forgot. If you date a guy there at the gym and things don't work out, you can rest assured that everyone in the gym will know your business too. The guys like to talk in there and they will know a lot of your personal business.

yes i have had a bf that i met at the gym. honestly i jsut think a gym is a ggret big "meat market" ur better off meeting someone outside the gym. guys are dogs n the gym is a place for them to pick up girls. my bf was nice but from experience i wudnt advise it.

If you find someone nice there and want to get to know them better then go have coffee or something.
This is called "Getting to know you better"
Then you meet again and get to know his friends. If you like him, continue going out and if you don't "STOP."
P.S. So if I said that I had a great date with someone at my gym would that make you go out on a date with someone at your gym?
Meeting and getting to know people takes time and energy, no short cuts.

no I didn't went on date with someone I met at gym but I f u c k e d four different chicks from two gyms. It's cheap and easy, no need to spend money for date.

i go to the gym, and from my perspective i would love to date a girl who goes to the gym, because they keep themselves in good condition, and that is what i like..

hmmmm never done this, but always wondered. i wouldnt hit on someone there though...because you could always see them again!! that's awkward. didn't you ever see the sex and the city where miranda went on a date with a guy from her gym? lol!

no. though you'd be able to see how devoted they are to staying fit, and for most people this is a reflection of their relationship devotion also.
