why would heavily dyed solutions have a much higher light absorbtion? and also where can i find a detailed answer to this....pretty please? *batts eyelashes* lol

The dye in the water is absorbing all of the frequencies of the light except for the color of light that it is reflecting back to your eyes. And, by absorbing any form of energy, that is not to say that it is destroying that energy but rather converting it to another form. Heat.
