my desk is just light wood and my comforter is navyblue, but i'm getting a gold comforter. I like deep rich colors, like dark red and dark purple, and I think purple and gold go really well together. I am sort of preppy, but I do not like pastel pinks, blues, greens, or yellows. I love neon colors but i don't want anything too wild.

Burgundy/dark red on the wall against the headboard and warm brown the other three. Brown will pick up the gold, and gold and dark red gets you that rich luxurious feel.

First of all make sure to use a good primer regardless of the color of paint you choose, one it will cover easier and also it keeps the color from bleeding into the wall itself. Also remember the darker the color the smaller the room is going to appear to be. Also, the darker the room is going to be even in the daytime,so a light would have to be used(most likely) since the room is not light and airly feeling. I would go with a darker color on the wall and perhaps some accents too. You can go to a website on HGTV for a tv show named DESIGN ON A DIME and they use dark colors with accent pieces to make some really cool looking rooms. Just an idea or two for you. Good luck

Sorry but my answer is a llight brown.. in the color of harvest wheat. I say that because BELIEVE ME.. if you go for dark colors in the reds, purples, etc, you (for sure) will tire of them easily... I have had all of those colors and my suggestion is better for the eyes and the mind

Whatever colour you choose, I would do one wall (the wall your headboard goes on) a very deep dark shade of the colour you are going for, and then use a softer shade for the other three sides.

you can do a mixture of all the colors.
i mean. like not like mix them up all together and make one nasty color.
like one of my friend's dad is a carpenter and he painted all four wall + ceiling differnet colors. and then he made circles (small and big ones) with the other colors. it was really cool.
