It depends on what God you are talking about. But I would assume in most religions your actions now are what is important. Also, I don't think God intended for you to stay with someone and be miserable. People make mistakes, and that's okay. It's how you learn. If I were God I'd bless people's second marriages.

There are consequences to every sin and there are consequences to divorce and remarriage. But the question becomes, what do we do now? The best I can suggest is that you seek the Lord with all your heart and seek to do His will and walk with Him. When you do that you put yourself into a position where God is able to direct you and even though you may carry some form of discipline from the Lord throughout your life, God will still use you and bless you.
After David killed Uriah God spoke to Him and told him that because of what he did with the sword, that the sword would never leave his home. Bible history shows how much damage the sword did to David and his family through out the history of the kings of Judah, and yet David was blessed throughout his life because of his repentance and following God. God referred to him as a "man after God's own heart.". God can restore our sins when we turn to Him.

Are you both Christian? We are told not to be linked with an unbeliever. Ask God to bless your marriage and to break the curse of divorce off of your family. You do not want divorce being passed to your children.

As far as I know, not the Catholic one. The Baptist one is all right with it, Methodist and Protestant as well. I'm not totally up to date with all the subsects of Crhsitianity, I just know Catholocism is one of the few that REALLY takes the "till death do you part" thing to heart. Though, God is supposed to be all forgiving, and I assume you two finding each other is a sign of His/Her/Its (whichever you prefer) forgivness/love of you both.
Best of luck though. May Aphrodite and Brigid shine upon ye both.
