It depends on where you live. Where I live in Fl, the coldest my tap water gets is 70 deg farenheit or so. Where I used to live in NY, about 50.

On second thought, sometimes the soil close to the surface - where my water pipe runs - does chill below 70, and then I get a very chilly burst of water till the pump kicks on. The water tank outside too, of course. On freezing nights, that's why we let faucets trickle.

10 degrees C. Thats what I heard anyway, a girl I knew had a plumber for a boyfriend who chucked her in a bath of cold water, she doesn't mind though because cold water won't go any lower than 10 degrees... personally I find that rubbish, I mean a bath of cold water is still cold isn't it?
But what if it's winter and you don't have central heating? I bet the water will get pretty cold then...

0 degrees C or 32 degrees F. Any lower and it is no longer a water tap, but an
ice tap :-}}}
