my boyfriend and i have started to go farher in our relationship but i kinda want to slow things down and get to know him better...is this a good idea..and how do i tell him i want to take it a little slower?

good communication is key in a healthy relationship. If there is something u want and it it healthy which your choice to slow down is very healthy u should always speak your mind. Tell him u wanna talk . If he respects u he will definetly understand. IF u dont get what u want u'r only hurting yourself in the end. Be happy do what u want and dont do anything u dont want to. Slow is good it makes for less drama and a smoother relationship. who ever regretted taking their time and doin things the right way?! good luck

it doesnt' matter if other people think its a good idea or not. all that matters is how you feel, and what you want. if you feel its moving too fast then tell him how you feel. simply explain to him that you'd like to get to know him better before the relationship goes any further. good luck

Tell him you are still not quite ready for that next step. He should understand, but if he leaves you because of it, then it's his loss. trust me, I've been there... its not easy. if you can't tell him to his face, write it down in a letter and give it to him. you can either stand there while he reads it, or tell him to save it for after you leave. he should be man enough to respect your wishes, it's YOUR body, not his. and you don't ever give yourself away... you share yourself.
