Really good s'mores are made at a campfire. You need four marshmallows, toasted to your preference (I like mine a dark, toasty brown), four graham crackers (I prefer Nabisco Honey Maid), and one milk chocolate bar (Hershey's 1.55 oz bar is what I use).

Break your graham crackers in half to make eight squares, break the chocolate in quarters. Put one piece of chocolate on four of the graham cracker pieces. Put one toasted, still hot, marshmallow on top of each of the chocolate pieces and place the rest of the graham cracker halves on top of the marshmallows, making four s'mores.

They are a delicious, messy treat. Don't burn your tongue licking the marshmallow that oozes out the side when you take the first bite. You do that they're called s'mores because you always want s'more?

For real hot chocolate, not hot cocoa, which is another thing entirely, all you need is semi-sweet or dark chocolate and milk.

For one cup hot chocolate, use 3 oz chocolate (I prefer Hershey's Special Dark) and one cup milk. Shave or chunk the chocolate in the top of a double boiler and add the milk. Whisk until the chocolate melts and the milk is frothy. Pour into a 9 oz mug. If you want to be fancy, top with a dollop of whipped cream (either sweetened or plain) and shave some white and dark chocolate curls onto the top of the whipped cream. Ummmm.

P.S. Building the s'more first then nuking the sandwich cookie will work, but it doesn't give you a really good s'more.

Smores
1. Go to store and buy these items:
Large marshmallows
Gram crackers
Hershey's Chocolate bar
2. At home take a plate spray it with Pam and then put the gram crackers on plate facing down then put a marshmallow on top then split the choc late bar apart into pieces two square each put on or under the marshmallows and then top with another gram cracker. Stack these items like a sandwich.
3. Put in microwave for about 45seconds or less depending on your microwave.
Voila Smores the easy way!
Hot chocolate
Use milk instead of water in instant hot chocolate mix powder and add marshmallows on top!

Hot Chocolate=1 packet Swiss Miss hot cocoa mix in a mug, pour in hot water, stir and top with whipped cream.

you could also use chocolate chips and marshmellow fluff. Be sure to use milk, not water, in the cocoa. Maybe add a shot of peppermint schnapps. Top with whipped cream.

for s'mores, make sure you crisp the marshmallows and for hot chocolate, use extra chocolate. If its a mix put more than what is asked for, it makes it more creamy and good.
