If a person is unable to constructively express his heated emotions, how can he handle them successfully? What if he doesn't understand his emotions? Personally, every day I feel heated emotions and I am not completely sure of the source, and I don't know how to purge them. I am worried these emotions are going to damage me.

Getting to the bottom of things is the key to understanding your emotions or reactions to things. The way to deal with heated feelings is first by identifying them, then trying to figure out what triggers them. There is a great book out there that I had to read for psychology class called "Emotional Intelligence" (it's $10 at any bookstore) which discusses this specific subject . . . how our brains are "high-jacked" by emotions rather than reasoning. I believe the author (Daniel G-something, can't remember his whole last name . . Gol-something) just put out a second book about this. This might help you at least understand emotions and yourself a little better. Kudos to you for wanting to master your emotions rather than have them master you! You're on the right path . . . keep seeking answers.
