Canned or bottled beer, which do you prefer?

If I'm going to drink it out of the container (can or bottle) I much prefer bottled beer (canned beer seems to taste of the can), but pouring it into a glass I can't notice the difference.
Is there any real difference, does a bottle of bud contain the same 'batch' as a can of bud?

Its all made the same..(they don't make two different beers. for bottles or kegs its all the same)
however, they do put more co2 in the bottles for preservation, that is why your supposed to pour a bottle into a glass to release some of it

Surely a Bud is a Bud is a Bud, ie; swill. Here's my take on your situation- if the beer you drink is available in a can, you should try drinking better beer. To answer your question, mega-brewers don't make separate batches for cans and bottles- it's all the same. To my taste, a can of beer poured into a glass still tastes like a can of beer.

Some micro-brewers in the states are turning to cans. Why? Because light destroys beer and cans keep the light out.
The modern can adds no taste or aroma.
Plus, after you've had the beer, you can show how tough you are by crushing the can (before recycling, of course).

I like the large cans that hold about 100 litres and deliver the stuff through a tap.

I don't know about batches, but I prefer the way it runs more smoothly from a bottle than from a can.
Unfortunately, cans are cheaper, so that's what I drink most of the time.

Although I guess if you're drinking drunk beer rather than good beer, you don't care much what it tastes like.

Anyway, as for amount, a can is 355 mil, or 12 oz, but IIRC most bottles are 16 oz.

damn man.who want to wake up the next morning with stale can beer taste,i ditched the cans a long time ago. the beer also tastes better in a bottle.
