Because they pick and choose which abominations are no longer abominations. Where is the fun in having pork being a forbidden food when it tastes so good?

You should read your bible?! The not eating of shellfish is in the Old Testament, We are no longer under the law.The Law of Moses was written for the Jews and was only to last until the time of Christ. When Jesus died on the cross, the temporary Law of Moses was fulfilled and is no longer necessary. Hebrews 8:6,7,13 ...He [Christ] is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. For if that first covenant [the Law of Moses] had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second....In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
The speaking of homosexuality is in the New Testament,
1 Corinthians 6:9,10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

I, for one, do not eat pork or any other foods that are prohibited in Scripture. However, the prohibition against homosexuality is a command that is repeated throughout Scripture.

Read Romans 1 & 1 Corinthians 6.

No, this is not hypocricy.

The prohibition on eating certain meats was not extended to Gentile Christians. See the Biblical account of the first Council in Jerusalem for this (I think it is Acts 15). Basically, we don't have to submit to all Jewish cultural laws in order to be Christians. Circumcision is also not demanded of us, either, for example. Such things CAN be done as an expression of faith, but they are not REQUIRED as such.

The moral law is different. God alone can delineate "this is sin, and this is not sin", and has done so very clearly. Homosexual sexual acts have been declared sinful, as were premarital sex, rape, bestiality, adultery, and incest. Lots of other things (non-sexual in nature) have been declared sinful as well: stealing, murder, cursing, lust, cruelty to the blind/deaf/crippled/poor, and idolatry (to name just a few). While the cultural rules were loosened by Jesus and the Apostles, no recinding of the moral law was ever given. In fact, it was reinforced!

It is one thing to say "this act is sin". It is quite another to say "I don't like this person, because they indulge in a different sin than something I find tempting". Please stop deliberately confusing the two phrases; this act is discriminatory and misleading!

Just because I don't struggle with a certain temptation, and recognize that God's judgement has been given against that particular act, doesn't mean I "don't like" people who themselves deal with that temptation. I encounter several different people who are homosexual/bisexual at my place of work: I don't treat these individuals any different from anybody else! One of my friends from high school was gay/bi--sadly, he died of AIDS over 10 years ago. His only child was murdered by his (the baby's) mother--so there is nothing left of my friend.

I miss my friend.

Disagreeing with a person is not the same as hatred. If it is, then all gay people hate all Christians, for all homosexuals disagree with the Christian religion! Doesn't that make them religious bigots too? Or are "the rules" different for them?

Please think about how you "paint" people of other beliefs. You are coming across as very bigoted.
