Sudden bright stimulation of the eye that occurs after a person has become adapted to darker surroundings is thought to bring on the condition, known as photic sneeze reflex. The reflex also is called Autosomal Dominant Compelling Helioophthalmic Outburst Syndrome, known by the acronym ACHOO. (Not making this up. Really.)

approximately 25% of people do extremely sneeze whilst uncovered to vivid lights furniture like the solar. we don't be attentive to precisely why this occurs, besides the undeniable fact that it might mirror a "crossing" of pathways interior the concepts, between the traditional reflex of the attention based on easy and the sneezing reflex. there is not any obvious income from "solar-sneezing", and it probable isn't something better than an unimportant (yet stressful) holdover of evolution.

Ha, you're not alone! This happens to me every time I walk out of a darkened building into the sunlight! I think it's because you automatically have to squint your eyes from the sudden brightness, which causes you to wrinkle your nose, which causes a tickle, and hence the sneeze. At least, that's what I've always told myself!
