The dog is a 3 year old female and has done this since I can remember. She does it only with my mother and mother-in-law.

Sounds like she adores the moms! My pitbull Jacan is the same way, he simply adores my parents and will follow my mom everywhere and he is always on his best behavior like he is trying to impress her. My theory is based on pack mentality. I am the head of our pack, and I think he understands my mom is the leader of My pack - I show her respect, love and obedience (like he does me) and he follows my lead.

Maybe it has to do with their scent or tone of voice I dont know. One of my dogs prefers to be with my young neices when they are around. Or maybe its the attention they give the dog.

Did you say "Your dog "does it" with your mother and mother in law"

That is sick !

They need a good psychologist.

We can't tell you. You'll have to ask your dog.
