What do you think is the best mileage to have on a car to sell it or use as a trade-in?

12,000 miles per year is average. Anything over that and the selling price has to be reduced. A 3 year old car should have 36,000 miles or less.

Typically, around 75k. Depends on the car, the dealer, condition of the vehicle, etc. I personally just drive them until the wheels fall off, then sell them to a salvage.
