Christians are doing something called telling the truth when we say that Christians are persecuted in the world. Why ignore the facts?
I recommend that you do some research on Christian persecution in the world, especially in Muslim and Hindu countries before you give another ignorant opinion.

Because most people don't realize what the word persecuted means anymore. The fact is that Christians are the majority in the US as such many/most of the law makers are Christians. I really don't see how that would even allow it to be possible for Christians to be persecuted.
Really, over the past hundred years or so they have gotten used to having things exactly the way they want. Now the the beliefs and concerns of the minority are being considered they are "persecuted". When they start being fed to the lions and/or forbidden to believe as they fell guided to then I'll agree that they are persecuted.

Maybe they think they are fulfilling some sort of Bible prophecy and want to be a part of it? I will agree, there is some persecution of Christianity in the world, but not to the degree that many claim. I even had someone tell me that Christianity was being persecuted in the US because Christianity was not the state religion!

You know, this is interesting. I was about to type almost the identical post asking about the whining of atheists on here complaing that they're having religion forced on them. It made me laugh, becaues they come on a religious/spiritual forum complaining about having spiritual stuff pushed on them.
Where is the sense in that? By the way, the most whining and complaining on this site has been from atheists and I am unsure why the hell you type such a moronic post, when this section of yahoo is actually for believers.
So if you don't like it, stop whining and leave ok? You aint taking away anybody's faith buddy, you're actually confirming it. To hear you go on, is a great aid to all of us.
Who is persecuted? I don't come on here and talk about it, nor have I seen most believers do so. What's the issue? Why stick around?
How on earth can someone like you with this mentality possibly have even the remotest sway on anybody? I'm half laughing reading your post as it is. Don't give yourself that much credit, trust me.
By the way, atheists on here blame beleivers for their problems, the world's problems, yet the world is mainly secular in belief, evolution is in the science classroom being taught all the time. Why are they moaning? Why are they so weak minded as to assume they are being forced? Are they under pain of death?
Thanks for reminding me to state this, I had to bite my tongue earlier, but you enabled me to let rip.
Also you sound so angry....why? Were you forced to come on here? hmmmmmmm? you know, most people come on here because they believe in something.....does that kind of register with you that's what religion/spirituality means? Or do you need some help to figure that out?
If we were all whiny losers, I fail to see why you'd bother coming on here in the first place. SO this is amusing for starters.

Be in the world, but not of it. I have no concern what the world thinks of my relationship with Christ, I am only concerned with what He thinks of me--not you or anyone else. If we are not persecuted then we are not doing what God expects of us. Jesus walked the earth and was persecuted constantly, yet He offended no one. Whiny Christians are sinning, as the Bible says not to complain, but to humble ourselves.

They drum up the notion that Christians are "persecuted" in order to enflame their wackos into action. For example, complaining that laws protecting gays from discrimination are infringing upon one's religious freedom (i.e., one's freedom to be a hateful, backward-thinking moron) in order to generate hysteria among Christian voters.
Tsk. So many Christians, and so few lions...

Victimization dynamics go a long way in establishing group specialness and in distracting people from their own actions of persecution

i have to agree with you my friend, i hate that s h i t but alot of them are NOT REALLY Christians or they woud NOT be worried about others not believing, true Christains turn the other cheek and are not worried about us who do not believe they live and let live the "christians" who whine and scream and damn us for not believing are afraid of non believers because they do NOT have enough faith themselves and fear the non believers might be right and that scares the hell out of them, these people are called hypocrites and fools

Because they LOVE to be the victims. I think their god told them that they should suffer from birth to death because of some dudes named Adam and Eve who ate an apple, and they an their descendants are doomed. So suffering and repent are their keys to heaven.
