The new Dodge Chargers 06 and newer are very good cars for the price. The Hemi versions are incredible. I don't own a Dodge Charger but I own a car built on the same platform as the Dodge Charger (LX platform) and they are very solid cars!
Before I bought my Dodge Magnum SRT8 version with the 6.1 Hemi with 425 HP, I traded in my 05 Dodge Magnum R/T AWD with the 5.7 Hemi with the MDS (multi displacement system) drops from 8 cylinders to 4 cylinders. I wanted more power!!!!
I have nothing but praise about both Magnum's, lots of power in both more insane power in the SRT8.
Most of the components on this car are designed or inspired by Mercedes Benz. These cars are solid and roomy and great value for the price and mechanically solid! Also, Consumer Guide named the Charger, 300C and Magnum Best Buy and Car and Driver named the Magnum, Charger and 300 Best Car in 2005.

with the aid of fact the owner (surely it somewhat is my spouse's) of a 1970 huge block Charger with a "few" differences i will assure you it does not have 1200 horsepower and surely does not ultimate out at 1200 MPH. There are 1200 horsepower engines available for Chargers from engine developers and the engines sell for greater money than i could want to spend for an engine. My spouse's Charger will exceed the published Interstate speed cut back conveniently and could better than double that speed cut back and be turning decrease than 6000 RPM, no longer much less, yet much less. And it does all of it with out leaving the floor . . . . yet does have a extreme "sphincter factor"

People have their opinions. It was most likely just someone who dosn't like dodges that told you that. Thats the biggest problem with cars...its hard to trust what anyone tells you because some people are very loyal to their favorite brands.

Who is that 'someone' who told you that Dodge Chargers is not a good car, he must be crazy, a.s.s.h.o.l.e, more a j.a.c.k.a.s.s. Hey it is the ultimate in performance car 450+hp and 560Nm torque, more than enough a man can get.

WTF is the above person talking about?? how can you put 5 new trannys in one in six years? they have only been out for two years. It depends on if you are talking about the new ones or old ones. The new chargers I was a little disapointed with the new style. They are still really good, reliable cars. Get the 6.1 liter hemi ;)

I haven't heard anything bad about them but I did see a SRT8 get smoked by a 2006 GTO.
