A friend of mine used to put lemon juice on her hair but, I think that was in the summer, out in the sun to make it work.

well i always wanted highlights to and i also never wanted to get may hair hemicaly treated. But i realized later on that i had highlights already. And that was because of the sun. Yes thats right the sun. If you stay out in the sun a lot then eventually you will acheve natural beautiful highlights!!!

This is the oldest trick in the book for highlighting your hair. Just put lemon juice in your hair and sit out in the sun for a while. If you don't have access to sunshine, blow-drying it for a while should work.
If you do decide to dye it, the best at-home dying kit I've ever used is Frost n' Glow. I used it to just brighten my natural higlights and it looked great for months!

Lemon juice will work but if you can go to a hair store and buy henna, I always use it. It fades out in 6-8 weeks but it is worth it. Henna is not a dye, it helps condition your hair and is all natural and brings out your natural highlights.

It can happen if you are in the sunlight a great deal of the time and are swimming in a chlorinated swimming pool. Problem is when you spend that much time in the sun your skin can get dammaged and you can end up looking older than you are.
How about just being happy with your hair. You will have your own natural look without the dye and dammage of hair chemicals.

okay, there is no NATURAL way to get NATURAL highlights because if you put them there then they are not really natural so my advice is that if you want highlights get them done at a salon because doing highlights yourself can turn out pretty bad (from experience)
hope i helped :]
p.s. if you are really desperate there are myths about lemon juice and hydrogen peroxide that might work :/ never tried it before
good luck!

Someone once told me if you put freshly sqeezed lemon juice in your hair and go in the sun it makes it lighter?
Not sure how well that works though.
If that doesn't work- go stick your head down the toilet.
No. I'm just kidding. Don't do that.
