I know that they are exoensive, like somewhere between $100and$200. but I want to know how much they are regularely in stores. Because I know a friend who is a beautician and said she can get me one cheaper, but she'd have to order it and i'm wondering if it would really cost that much more to buy it in the store?I know you can get them on ebay but i dont want to try that,

yeah definitly don't get one on ebay-I thought about doing that but as I started looking at them online I realized that a lot of them said they were chi's but I could tell the slight difference on the box, or even the iron itself. Like a week after I looked online we had the people from Chi come to the salon where I work and said not to do this-that they are really trying to prevent this, and that they are no longer gauranteed through the company if they are sold this way...anyway... the basic 1st model black chi is like $140. they have a bunch of limited release ones in different colors that I think mine cost $150ish-but are no different. They have the turbo, which I'm not sure how much that is but even Chi said it doesn't get as hot as the others. They have a new one called the chi nano which is awesome. it has nano technology with smoother even heating plates, and there is silver in them which acts as an antibacterial agent...this is really beneficial to thinner haired people because it helps the hair follicle not to get clogged and prevent growth. this one is like $170 in the salon I work at....which they should all be around the same price anywhere. Hope I helped ! : )

Sally's beauty supply has a generic version of the chi brand...I think it ranges between 50 to 60 dollars. Most salons and stores will run between the $100 or $200 range for a chi, but it is a excellent straightner.

Try looking it up on ebay, I got mine 2 years ago, a 2 inch Farouk Chi for 89.99 which I considered to be a lot cheaper than the store.

those are pretty good offers compared to when its like more at other stores. oh try ulta if you dont want to try online, its about the same price maybe cheaper for the original chi, but i reccomend the 2 inch chi turbo-its awesome.

On ebay you can get on for $99 but in stores they range to about $150.00. On line is a much sweeter deal.
