Just be bold, guys like that. It doesn't matter who he went to the dance with, just ask him out any other time. Of course there is always manage a trois (threesome) No guy can say no to that.

You leave them alone. If he likes your best friend, asked her to the dance, find someone else.....he likes her, obviously and you need to step back a few paces and let them be and see what happens. It may not work.
