The Bible says that God is the creator of life.
Psalm 139:13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb
Eccl 11:5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mothers womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

You are life, manifested in a body having a human experience. Life is manifested in multiplicity in almost an infinite number of forms, and the creator is in everything manifested, including you.
Some quotes may help you understand| I will refer to Christ type statements, in that most humans in the US are Christian at this time. All religions will point to the truth, but you may be more familiar with these.
"You are in me, and I am in you" (There is only one)
"Turn over a rock, and I am there" (The one is in the rock)
"Split a piece of wood, and I am there" (The one is in the wood)
The creator is right in front of everyone's eyes, but it is so well disguised, we cannot recognize it.
Humans are so caught up in their body and the feeling of a separate self, they cannot fathom the creator being more than one object of perfection.
If you ask, most humans their perception of their "God", is an "Old Man - Male".
God, if you wish to label the creator, is not a man, and is not a thing.
If you doubt the power of this creator, stop for a moment and look around, or just notice the magnificense of the body that you inhabit. Expressing itself in many different forms would be quite simple task compared to the incredible notion of life.
When you are sleeping you are dreaming, sort of speak. When you wake, it seemed real but it ended in a flash. When what humans call awake, is just movement from one dream to another. There is nothing eternal or real in life. Everything, "EVERYTHING", goes through the birth death cycle. Even the Sun will evenually die. A rock, just like your body, will eventually turn to dust, and quite frankly in a very short period, of what you all call time, which does not exist.
The only time, if you must think time exists, is what you are experiencing right now. The rest is just a mental movie created in your mind of past and future. If you doubt this, when the future really arrives and is actually happening, what time is it? It is now, is it not? Is this not obvious?
You are life and life is eternal, which has no beginning and has no end. There is no time in eternity. Einstein tried to explain this to you all, but it was apparently just to hard for people. Scientists have known this for a long time.
Who are you? You are the awareness that notices your experience. Have you ever considered how you can notice your thoughts. For one thing (words are not correct) to notice another thing (observer and observed) there has to be two. So, if "you" are noticing your thoughts, then who are "you", and who is it that has thoughts?
It only seems baffeling because of how you all are conditioned from the moment of your birth.
"You were created in God's image". You have heard this, have you not? So is the world that you experience with your eyes and other senses.
You ARE the thing everyone is talking about, manifested in a body having a physical experience with a bad case of forgetfullness. Of course you are. Otherwise this whole thing would not seem real, which it isn't.
Enjoy your walk in the amuzement park in a very elaborate space suit. You created the park and the suit, so just enjoy it.
Here this may help; "Behold heaven is at hand". Christ told you.
This is it, the gift.
When you wake up, you will know this as well......AND YOU WILL WAKE UP WHEN YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO DO SO.

Science has a lot of the chemistry down and has the basics figured out. But the answer is that we don't have it all down yet. There are things call viruses that are both alive and not alive so there is an intermediate step that is easily found.
Give it a few more years and you will see lab created life from scratch. It has only been a couple of hundred years since we found germs, so it is going to take some time.

there are a lot of conflicting answers to the question that you are asking and is all based on who, or what type of person you ask. for instacnce ask a religious person and they will say that their god or gods brought about life on this dust ball, ask a scientist and they will say through some evolution or even wilder the new concept might be life was brought about from a meteor that had biiological life ( little microbs) on it. best bet find they answer that you like the best believe in it and thats your answer until an actual answer can be determined.

Well, after the big bang and the formation of the stars and planets, many millions of planets were the ideal distant from their stars to create an environment that is conducive to life. At that point it's only a matter of a few million years of brewing and lo and behold - microorganisms!
Life is a force that cannot be stopped. If a planet is capable of sustaining life, then life will spring forth.

Only an intellegent designer can design living organisms.
Anyone who says it can occur spontaneously doesn't understand the work of Louis Pasteur.
Living organisms absolutely NEVER arise from purely stochastic mechanisms.
Only the uneducated make such statements. Out of high school I also believed the mythology of evolution. Studying biology and genetics at the college level dispelled the stupidity of evolution.

Well, according to the Bible - God, who breathed into man the breath of life, whereas man became a living soul. Notice, we dont have a soul, we are a soul. And it was God who gave us life. Just man chooses to believe or not believe. It is innate in mankind.

life came from God during creation. He created adam...The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into His nostrils, the breath of life and the man became a living being.
So when we die our human body will decay and become dust but our spirit will live forever....

Not even God knows the answer to that question
My reasoning is that if God was already there when there was nothing else... then the life had already began with the existance of God... thus I don't think God would be able to figure out where life came from ... it is not possible for him to know...
