If you really like her, you should totally go for it. Don't fear rejection. It's not really all that scary. You just need to learn to have confidence in yourself, and the rest will come easy. The worst that could happen by asking her out is her saying no. So what's to worry? If she says no, life goes on. And if she does reject you, don't let it get to you too much. Life is way to short to dwell over rejection. You can rise above rejection. As Elenor Roosevelt once said, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." So true. And if you ask her out, there's a 50% chance of her saying yes! Imagine the possibilities! So, just be confident, and believe in yourself. That's all you really need in life. Everything else will come with it!

definetely not, dont give up, there is something you should know and is to tell when somebody likes you, first, develop a relation based on friendship, let this person know how good and sweet you are, you have to be fast and smart, once she knows about your goods will be time to act, if you are going too slow she will get used to you as a friend and not as something else, let her see how good you can be in many things, and make her wish she was that person you bought a present for or you talk so good about. Smile a lot, and a very important tip is, you have to be confident, confidence is the most important thing you need, also respect from friends she respect is important, make sure your friends dont play pranks on you or nobody makes fun of you around her, that is a BIG issue, hang around other people, but always stand out, always have an answer ready before the question comes, always know where to go, and eye contact and smiles work very well along all that, be honest and if it doesnt work out, at least she will be a very good friend that you can keep. If nothing of that works out, get a subscription at a local gym and work out, remember there are more girls in college waiting for somebody. Good luck with school!

I know what you are going though, I was really shy too. There are a few things you can try: 1. write a script quickly of what you want to say and go over it several times and just take a deep breath and ask. 2. Leave her a note somewhere she can easily find it and only her find it (embarrassing if someone else got the love letter). 3. Try and have a more social friend ask for you. If these things don't work or you are too shy to try, just wait for another time. Remember though, you are graduating, what is the worst thing that can happen? Try it and be at peace with yourself, the worst thing you can hear is "No"

Hello, If you are never going to see her after a week & a half then you really need to do something you don't feel like doing. Ever go to the Dr. or dentist even when you didn't feel like it but knew you had to? This is the same situation. Write down a few things to say rehearse them and then out of shear will power go up to her and talk to & try to get her phone# ....so what if she says no or you make an a$$ of yourself at least you tried and you won't have any regrets about that...When you say "wait for someone else" ...sorry but that's just waiting for luck...and even luck doesn't work unless you give it a chance...by trying the best you can. What you put into it - is what you get out of it...so give it your best shot...ok? bye bye

First, congratulations on graduating and going off to college. That is something that should boost your confidence, you're smart. Second, it is ok to be shy, some people see it as being mysterious. Do what I call confidence building work outs. Every morning look at yourself in the mirror and say out loud, the things you find attractive about yourself. After you do that, everyday play up your positives. (example; i.e if you have a nice eyes have your hair professionally cut in a way that women will see your eyes, nice teeth; smile when you having a fun conversation etc). Practice having small talk to yourself in the mirror. If you have nice parents, practice small talk with them as well. If you need practice with small talk they have books on it. But Finally, you want to eventually move up to having basic conversations with your friends then with strangers. That should break your shyness situation. Practice makes perfect.

If you're leaving so soon, maybe this girl isn't the one. I dont know how you feel about long distance relationships?
As for the shyness, perhaps you should find someone who doesn't make you feel so shy - for example, dont at the present try to form relationships or friendships with someone who is exessively loud and confident, but also not someone who is so shy like you. Try and find someone who can bring out a little more in you.
Find something that you both enjoying doing, so that there is plenty to talk about. It's ok to think about topics beforehand! Ask her about herself. There is so much to find out when you meet someone new! Just be interested!
Primarily though, friendship first is so important! If you're their friend first, you will feel more confident and comfortable around them. Perhaps this is the advantage to your year long 'thing' for the girl you mentioned. Keep in touch with her - phone calls and emailing. Make a special effort to see her when you can.
Find out your fear if you dont know what it is - what makes you so shy? Scared of rejection? Dont know what to say? Feel uncomfortable around girls? Then overcome it! Practice! Try harder to be brave and take risks. good luck

Hey think of it this way your graduating soon and you probably wont get the chance to see if this girl likes you. So i say if u really like her go up to her and just say something like "ive been wanting to tell u this for awhile..." and add in your own stuff. if u don't do it before you graduate you'll always have that what if stuck in your head when something could have happend.I f she doesnt like u then well your goin to college and u probably wont see her again, not to put u down. If it doesn't work out u can always just wait for that someone else that could come along.

We are all different in this world, so i dont think there actually a specific way to tell if someone likes you or not, but you will never know if you never ask, and if you never ask you will never able to get this feeling settle. Maybe you can try message or email if you too nervous to ask her out face by face?
Hope you all the best, never feel bad for being a shy person, you are who you are :}

We are all only humans my friend. Your feelings of being shy I think are normal. You do not need help it that regard, as you have had 3 real girl friends. As for your question about your interest in another girl, just take it slow, she may not even know what she wants at this point in her life either. Be yourself, and let your feelings grow.
Remember love is a seed you have to let it grow into what it will become. Do not let fear of rejection or any fear for that matter be your motive for any decision you make about having or starting a relationship with someone. Love will overcome it all. Let it grow, then come back and let us know what happens .

If you've liked her for over a year, then you obviously shouldn't give up.. and if you are graduating in a week or so it all depends on if you are going to see her anymore after that.. If not, then you might as well ask, it's not going to really hurt anything, and if you are, still wouldn't hurt anything. If you really like this person, then you shouldn't wait, what if she does like you and she's waiting for you to ask her? You're going to wait and wait longer, and she'll give up on you.. and go out with someone else. Don't wait. Just ask. It's not going to affect your relationship as it is with her.
