I have had coco for over a year now since she was a kitten she is quite a wild cat and loves to be outside she has had one litter and has always seemed to be friendly and playful with the other cats that hang around. My dad brought home a stray cat that had been hanging around his gf's house for some time hes about the same age as coco and we named hiim casper, any way we brought him in the house and coco screamed at him and chased him into the corner of the kitchen and since then is always growling and hissing at him while he is relaxed but sometimes retaliates. We had them both spayed/neutered a few days after we got casper and still no change in coco she is always watching him and always mooches around with and evil face on her i dont think she will ever accept him we have tried everything for them to get along but she jst hates him can anybody give any useful advice that might resolve her feelings for him???thnks for reading

At the start, they may bicker and fight a lot!!! After a while, they should start becoming friends!! Just remember that you have to give them both equal attention!

I had the same problem with my two cats years ago. It will just take time. Get them to play together like with a ball or a piece of string etc. Give them both some treats as well. It's just when a female has a male come in it's their territory so that is the problem. Coco probably feels that casper is butting in on her territory. Just give it some time.

it seems that coco is the dominent cat she may never get used to casper then again it may take several weeks or months i would make sure to reassure coco that she is still the number one cat always give her affection first maybe she is just feeling a little overwhelmed right now

in time boh cats will grow to love each other the best thing to do is to keep your new kitten in a room with a litterbox, food and water with the door shut. the two cats will then get curious about the other cat's scent. the two are ready to be together when the kitten is putting its paw under the door playfully towards the older cat

They will learn to live with each other, but Coco will probably continue to growl at him and watch him. They won't kill each other though so don't worry. I have male and two females and they co exist.

cats are very teritorial.

imagine its like some bloke you dont know just setting up home in your house.
you would be pretty freaked out by that.

i hope he has a seperate litter tray.

she might not ever accept him then again she might just need time to check him out to see if he is ok.
he is in her teritory at the moment and she isnt used to it.
