Do you believe in life after death?
Is it because of religious reasons?
Or do you believe the scientific theories proving that its fake?
I need some examples of peoples opinions of life after death for my GCSE project

Some of you have decided to be funny.
Okay well, from a video i have watched, people have claimed to have experienced an outter body experience.
Also have been taken through a tunnel which commonly ends with a garden or paradise-like place where they meet they're loved ones who have previously passed away.

I think that most of us have experienced life after death, but we simply fail to remember it.
There are no "scientific theories" that disprove life after death. There are "theories" that try to explain the phenomenon of "near death experiences" such as oxygen depravation and such, but this does not disprove in any way life after death.
There is a continuous and growing body of evidence supporting past lives. Many Psychologists working with people with such memories have become convinced in the veracity of these memories, and some sceptics have come to promote the theory. Check out the book "Many Lives, Many Masters" for one author's views.

First of all I suggest you study the scientific research that has already been published. The major ones are the Dutch Study in the medical journal "Lancet" and the UK Study.
You can find them here:
http://www.mikepettigrew.com/afterlife/html/dutch_study.html
Then read up on web sites where people give them personal testimonies.
I think you will find that those who say there is not scientific evidence for the after-life are woefully uninformed.

Hi Selly
I wasn't sure if you meant a life after death as in reincarnation - or if you meant after a near death experience (when you've actually died and been resuscitated).
My dad was a Spiritualist and he'd witnessed things that made him believe implicitly, he tried to explain his view of life after death as our lives likened to flowers, that we come, we grow, we bloom, we die - after death the flower dies away and there is nothing physical to see, but the year later - the flower comes back. He believed our souls were like the bulb of the flower and that our bodies are just a way of being physical.
Hope that makes some sense to you.

Since it is appointed unto man ONCE to die and after this is the judgment ( Hebrews 9:27 ) no one, since the apostles died, has ever died and came back!
BUT After Christ returns, the judgment day will be here and all who have obeyed God's inspired word and remained faithful until death will be rewarded with eternal life in heaven...John 14:23
James 1:12; 2 Timothy 4:8
and ALL who have not obeyed or BELIEVED God's word will have eternity in HELL with the devil and his angels where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. .. Matthew 22:13; Matthew 25:41;
Luke 16:22,23,24.
These are NOT MY JUDGMENTS These are PROMISES FROM GOD HIMSELF told to us through his WORD The HOLY BIBLE!
Judgment John 12:48; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; Matthew 25:46
John 8:32 And ye shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH shall set you free.
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy TRUTH, THY WORD IS TRUTH
JESUS SAID I AM THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.

What happens to the spirit when a person dies? Psalm 146:4 says: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish." When a person dies, his impersonal spirit does not go on existing in another realm as a spirit creature. It "returns to the true God who gave it." (Ecclesiastes 12:7) This means that any hope of future life for that person now rests entirely with God.

once you die you rot in the ground. thats it. learn to accept reality and use your life to help benifit the world and society. the only time you can actually come back from death is if it literally happen which is extremely , extremely rare. like when your heart stops pumping blood and your body shuts down then they they shock your heart and your heart starts to work again so you live. you cant be born reborn. maybe revived but not reborn.

Well, that would sort of make you dead wouldn't it?
It is all nonsense. Not everyone has these experiences, they are the same only in the aspect that when your brain is deprived of oxygen certain things happen, and there is just flat out no reproducible evidence that indicates it is anything other than fantasy.

Once you die, yes your BODY rotes, but where does your soul go.
Let me tall you, and take you out of the darkness
Your soul has to face god, the all seeing and knowing.
He will decide what to do with you next.
Find the truth before the truth finds YOU!
