I have had coco for over a year now since she was a kitten she is quite a wild cat and loves to be outside she has had one litter and has always seemed to be friendly and playful with the other cats that hang around. My dad brought home a stray cat that had been hanging around his gf's house for some time hes about the same age as coco and we named hiim casper, any way we brought him in the house and coco screamed at him and chased him into the corner of the kitchen and since then is always growling and hissing at him while he is relaxed but sometimes retaliates. We had them both spayed/neutered a few days after we got casper and still no change in coco she is always watching him and always mooches around with and evil face on her i dont think she will ever accept him we have tried everything for them to get along but she jst hates him can anybody give any useful advice that might resolve her feelings for him???thnks for reading

If you do introductions badly they will never get used to each other. Give it time and they will curl together and sleep. read below to know how to do it right>

it may be the way the new kitty was introduced. Cats are VERY territorial and just bringing the cat into the house may have caused the sudden change in disposition of new cats in coco. Maybe separate the two for a while (so as they can't even know each other is there) if possible so that you can reintroduce Casper in a more "humble" manner. If this does not work then you may want to simply scold coco so as to show her that you will not let Casper be terrorized. If you choose this however, make sure that coco knows that you still love her but that she is simply doing wrong. In my experience, animals (cats especially) can be very reproachful of continuous scolding.

it takes time
i have ended up with 2 new cats and my old lady magsey she is still swearing at the other two cats 3 weeks on but that because she wants to be boss lol
one of my new cats was a rescues cat and the other turned up three weeks later as a stray the rescue cat loves everyone but magsey hates him
the stray is so layed back he falls over lol
but she seems sorter towards him more than the rescue cat
but i had the stray neutered last week and i don't think she is too happy with him now lol
but in the end they will exept each other

it can take three months for the hormones to settle down after neutering, so maybe there is some residual male/female thing going on there, my advice is, never get involved in heirarchy spats between cats unless blood is bieng spilled, they will work it out for themselves, once one of them is dominant, and you will know which it is, always feed them first or there will be trouble, it sounds unfair, but will make life easier for everyone, including the cats, they have worked out the dominance thing, you have to stick with it.
I have three cats, the black one is dominant, the other two keep out of his way, he always gets food first, so he is content and everyone is happy, if someone other than me feeds them and hes not fed first, then there is a fight, in your case it sounds like coco is the dominant one, and she is ticked off that you dont recognise it, feed her first, away from casper, then feed him, and see what happens.
good luck!

That also happened when I got my kitten and brought her home to my older female cat. They have been together for about six months and they now get along. One of my girlfriends told me to get each of the cats fur and to rub the furon each of the opposite cast that would help the cats get along.

cats are very territorial animals. family are often accepted by older cats but she is unlikely to accept other adult cats if she hasn't been raised with other adult cats in her life. she sees him as an intruder on her territory.
