I tried to read the can and had a hard time figuring out how diet coke can have no calories yet its a sweet drink. What is this sweetner and have any tests been done on it.

Aspartame. nothing that contain sweeteners is good for your health. In fact most products that are said to be "light" or "diet" are actually worse than the normal ones. Diet coke is made for people with diabetes thats why its diet, just drink the normal one, you wont get fat, everyone is so brain washed that you have to eat light and diet stuff but they are just fukkin up theyr health, I eat only highly fatening food and have almost no fat at all

Asparatime. I prefer drinks sweetened with Splenda though. When I was pregnant I stopped caffiene and sugar (for fear of gestational diabetes). I didn't (and still don't) drink anything with asparatime, I read in a medical journal that it could be cancer causing. I didn't want to take any chances!

But now the cola companies are trying to work in more splenda. It can be found in some forms of the popular diet colas right now. Watch for it, it tastes better than nutrasweet.
