If American citizens do not pay their taxes, their bank account is seized by the IRS, a lien put on their homes, cars, etc. Why aren't these same enforcement measurements being taken against illegal immigrants? It does not seem that our constitution would allow the government to enforce laws against select people in this country.

The constitution was not created for foreigners that are here illegally. That's why so many citizens don't want the illegals here. They take advantage of the fact that this doesn't apply to them. We are the ones being cheated and it's wrong. Hopefully the wall will be put up soon. That way we can start deporting illegals like we should have been doing a while ago, making it harder for them to get back over here. Besides, the government cannot freeze an account of someone they can't track. Most illegals don't go by their real name, they usually go by several different name to keep from being tracked down.

The reason is simple: Illegal aliens are most likely being paid "under the table," instead of their employer taking the time to do what he/she is legally bound to do, by making an employee prove they can legally work in the U.S. and filing a W2 form with the IRS. The IRS doesn't know that the illegal is working here, and thus can't tax them. And, all we can do when we find an illegal is to send them back, because there is no way to verify how much that person made during their time in our country. And thats why their are fines for companies that break these laws.

That's our government for you. As messed up as all get out. Heck, if we (citizens who do things legally) have to pay them then illegals should have to as well. FREE, that's what illegal immigrants want everything to be. Try earning things. Being an ILLEGAL immigrant does NOT give you the right to be "American". Man I wish the government would do something about this.
Re: the post above me, try being realistic. Not all hispanics pay taxes. The reason is because they get paid under the table and if they were forced too then they'd get caught for being illegal.
I am 33 years old in a small to medium sized town in North Central Indiana. Illegal's are everywhere. I want to run for mayor within the next few years so I can implement what other towns have done....run illegal immigrants out of town. ONLY ILLEGAL ones. I am not racist, only very frustrated with illegal immigrants.

No it is not. I would like to see us be the illegal immigrants in their country and not pay taxes, just an example. Our country's tax system is so darn unfair anyway and that just adds to the many problems.

Illegal immigrants are paying, unless they are working for an unscrupulous American employer that is not reporting. In that case is the American that should be paying those taxes. I wish you and more people knew More about this issue.

Illegal aliens are also subject to income taxes, but (1) earn so little, in general, that they not only would get all the taxes refunded, they would get the Earned Income Credit. If they had bank accounts, they could be seized.

Our Constitutional rights are being violated. We could impeach 'W' because of his failure to uphold his presidential oath of office which he swore to uphold UNDER OATH. If WE lied under oath we'd be held on charges of perjury!! I would go along with doing whatever we could to stop this injustice. Impeach 'W', fire congress, march on DC, all out civil war!! SOMETHINGS got to be done!

no its not but not eating miracle whip on a daily basis is i was in iraq and they arrested me for not doing it but now thats not constitutional
