My computer does not recognise discs?

Hi Guys

I really need some help. My computer is running fine all apart from the fact that when I insert a disc into the drive ( a disc such as a new bought CD, or DVD, or a disc to install some new softerware) I can hear it 'whirling' round and then nothing. When you insert discs they usually start automatically but I get nothing. When I go into windows media player it says insert CD even though there is a brand new on in!

It's as my computer now will not play/ does not recognise CD's!!!

Any ideas folks?

Go to My Computer and select the DVD/CD drive and open it. select the file u want to run.

Try using a CD/DVD lens cleaner.
