I would demand it, then give them each an atomic knee drop.

At any place & at any time people should respect your wishes on how you would like to be addressed. I have a first name & I HATE IT!! I use my middle name because it fits me & it is not commonly used. At my request people call me by this name showing they respect my feelings. I feel sorry for these kids who get stuck with these ugly names & have to grow up with it. Remember parents, your child will have to live with that name for the rest of their lifes.
I have seen children teased, abused & beaten up because of their name. Any parent naming their child some weird name should consider the future of the child & forget about their own SELFISHNESS!!

It depends on what your job is. Say you work at a low key job like McDonalds - I'd say - go ahead, have fun with it.

But, if you work as a stock broker or a upper class job, I would stay away from that until you know everyone much better :)

LOL!!! I think you might want to refrain from doing that except if your new job has to do with wrestling!
They might get the wrong idea and unfortunately judge you.
Congratulations on your new job!
Good Luck!

If your job has to do with wrestling or some counter-culture job then no. If it's a main stream job then you should go with your legal name (or some variation of it). Otherwise your employment will be rather short-lived.

It is not appropriate, however, when you establish yourself in the company, perhaps you can get people to call you that as a nickname, and then just respond less and less to your given name until it catches on.

Yes, but only if you have a registered wrestling name. Otherwise, it is in bad taste.

yeah sure ... just say " hi my name is Juan but I liked to be called Eldeablo" or whatever when you meet your new coworkers.Start off with this approach that way it's easier for people to remember what you want to be called.
Most people will comply with this simple request.

Start as you mean to go on.

So long as it isn't along the lines of "Master Bates" or "Long Dong Silver," it should be fine.
