Not everyone does some people eat more when depressed but it is all beacuse of an imbalance of hormones like seritonin.

Seretonin - the chemical in your brain that regulates your mood also regulates your appetite.

A friend of mine isn't clinically "depressed" but her body doesn't produce seretonin on it's own (or enough anyway) so she has to take seretonin suppliments as well as setting a timer to remind her to eat. She simply doesn't get hungry otherwise.

I don't I eat a LOT more. So it depends on the person.
